Christiane Amedegnato passed away

On June 20, 2010 Christiane Amedegnato passed away after a short sickbed. She was a world specialist on southern American acridids, working at National Museum of Natural History in Paris (France).She has published many important works in this field, describing more than 300 taxa. On the other hand some species were dedicated to her, amongst which Podisma amedegnatoae, from Mont Ventoux in her beloved France.
